There are 35 to 40 members in this club who meet every Thursday in the Brooklyn Community Centre. Annual dues are $25. It is not a teaching club, but a group that gets together to carve and share ideas on carving. They also have a quarterly newsletter and host an annual show.
Buckhorn Carving Club

Part of a seven-guild association housed at the Burlington Art Centre. Membership dues are $30 ($20 for seniors); must also be a member of Centre (dues $45, $30 seniors). Group meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and works on carving birds, animals, stylistic pieces, etc.

Members pay an annual fee of $125 to access the association's workshop. Equipment includes a shaper, lathe, planer, two tablesaws, a bandsaw, a jointer and assorted hand tools. For an additional fee there is a storage area and lockers.

Members are involved in carving, turning, cabinetmaking, toy building and other types of woodworking. They meet every Monday, with a general meeting the first Monday of the month. Annual dues are $40 for the first year and $30 thereafter. The club has a fully equipped shop in the Eastview Boys and Girls Club. Members also participate in woodworking sessions with the children.

They meet the first Tuesday of every month Sept. to June at St. Peter's Secondary School in Peterborough.
