Our trio of testers take on pin nailers

If price were no object, Shervill and I would choose the Grex P650L. It's a pleasure to use and includes a collection of features not found on any other model. We both especially liked the 2" pin capability too.

Dalrymple's favourite on all counts is the Bostitch. She liked the handling, small size and tiny tip.

The Ridgid is my choice for a best-value pinner. It's just slightly more expensive than the cheapest model yet delivers great performance in a small, lightweight package.

Shervill prefers the Craftex if price is an issue. It's the lowest-priced nailer in the test, but does most things as well as the higher-priced models.

Thanks for the review on pin nailers... was somewhat informative... I think you under-rated the King unit.... I was unsure of which to buy but after further research I decided on the King as it was the only other nailer with a 2 inch pin capacity. This is a huge benifit which should put this tool at #2 given it's 1/3 of the price of the Grex. It works incredibly well and can drive 2 inch pins into 2 inches of solid maple. Additionally it does not require any setup for pins of different lenght...(Rob)
