Extension cords to keep you connected

Power up! those projects aren't going to built themselves; you'll need electricity for all of your (corded) power tools. Choose the right extension cord for the application, and you'll never blow the circuit breaker again.

See detailed photo on next page: 1. Keeping cords organized is easier when they come with their own cord reel, such as Rite-Lite's Professional Triple Tap Retractable Metal Reel, which is wall- or ceiling-mountable ($40).

2. With four outlets spaced over its four-foot length, and safety guards to cover the outlets when not in use, this Bench Mate Power Distribution Cord is perfect to run along your workbench, so you can plug in your tools ($25).

3. Noma's 12-gauge, heavy-duty weatherproof ProPower Contractor Choice cord has three grounded outlets together in a fantail ($13).

4. A medium-duty cord such as this Commercial Electric 14-gauge is well suited for a multitude of uses ($14).
