Sink lighting

The original fixture above the vanity was nothing but a collection of glaring bare bulbs. The old fixture was removed and replaced with an inexpensive new one. It was an easy switch and took less than 20 minutes to complete.

How to install pot lights

Remember! Have all your electrical work inspected by a licensed electrician before turning on the power.

light1.jpgMark the position of each light so that together they will be able to light the room evenly.

light2.jpgUse a drill fitted with a hole saw to make a tidy cut in the drywall ceiling.

light3.jpgFish wires from the existing overhead light to the location of the new pot light.

light4.jpgFeed the wire through to make the electrical connections for the new pot light.

light5.jpgA flood-style bulb provides more widespread light than a spotlight.

light6.jpgOnce the lights are in, the switches can be connected.

light7.jpgA bank of dimmer switches lets you tailor the lighting to your mood.
